Red River College is now offering the most complete suite of pharmaceutical training programs in all of Canada. RRC's new programs are designed to prepare graduates for an uncomplicated integration into the workforce. At RRC's Notre Dame Campus, over $2 million has been spent to construct a brand new five-room facility stocked with state-of-the-art equipment. Manitoba is home to Canada's fastest growing biotechnology sector with students finding employment at local companies such as Biovail, Apotex, and Vita Health. RRC provides four advanced diploma programs and one certificate program with students getting hands-on industry experience while enrolled in the course.<br />Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) in the Pharmaceutical Industry is a one-year advanced diploma program that teaches the concepts of working in a regulated manufacturing environment and emphasizes good manufacturing practice plus quality systems.<br />Quality Systems in Research is a one-year advanced diploma program that explores current research methodologies, and offers a choice of specialization in proteomics or genomics research.<br />harmaceutical Drug Development is a one-year advanced diploma program that covers the process involved with taking a drug from the discovery stage to clinical trials.<br />Applied Biopharmaceutical Processing is a one-year advanced diploma program that focuses on applied microbial fermentation and downstream processing techniques.
