@Senorita_Dez:
@Fox5Kyle:
Did you take that? Doesn"t even look real!
@Senorita_Dez:
oh yes. It was like final scene in Shawshank Redemption.
Powerful storms swept across the nation’s capital, inundatingroadways, unleashing flash floods, and creating at least twowaterfalls in the Metro system.
All that rain falling during the morning commute has unleashedhavoc from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. to Northern Virginia. TheDC Metro, which has become somewhat infamous for its summertimefloods, has been hit particularly hard, with a waterfall droppingfrom the ceiling of the Virginia Square station in Arlington.

史诗级!#FormatImgID_13#
It was anepic rainstormthat drenched theWashington area Monday. And water, which had no place to go, wentwhere it would.
It gathered force and crashed through roadway retaining walls. Itgushed through the ceiling of a Metro station, showering passingrail cars. It crept into the basement of the National Archives,which had to be closed down.

Heavy rains on Monday in Washington, D.C., caused minor flooding inthe basement of the White House.

Three to four inches of rain fell in about an hour on Mondaymorning, causing widespread flooding across the region.
First responders had to carry out water rescues of drivers onConstitution Ave. NW, located just blocks south of the WhiteHouse.

@DildineWTOP:
"Even though the rain has slowed down, the intersections and roadswill remain flooded because the drains simply can"t handle thevolume of rain that"s being sent their way," said DuVal.
He explained that even if the rain stops within an hour or two,"there is no way of knowing how long it will take for the floodingto subside."
