:::::::::::::::::UNDER THE WEATHER::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I\'m feeling a bit under the weather today.... that means I FEEL BAD>......
Today\'s weather is terrible.... i think i got sick ... i feel under the weather after i had to stand in the blistering wind for half an hour ...
This phrase is usually used when describing a person\'s physical or emotional condition. if you have a cold or if you are sick, you could say that you feel a bit under the weather. Also, if you did bad on an exam, and do not feel any sense of cheerfulness (is this a word?)... this phrase can also be utilized to express your unhappiness.
Hope you guys are not feeling under the weather as i do right now ^^
This phrase means when one quits in defeat, to give up...to surrender.... This phrase comes from boxing, in which a fighter indicates surrender by throwing a towel into the ring.
Eg. After begging him for more than a month, I threw in the towel and gave up trying to persuade him to buy a puppy for me.
